Harmony. 15-3/4" x 15-3/4" |
This is one of Lori D's
quirky quick QALs. QQQ! :) The best thing about it is that almost
all the pieces are from scraps and I added a 'zinger' just for the fun
of it. Makes me smile. What a mess the scraps made on my table.
I've run out of cotton batting. So this will go into the hoop for hand quilting once I get some.
Here's the Asylum block April's Dixie Diary BOM by Barbara Brackman.
The blocks layout will be on point. I'm trying to applique more Gay Bomer's Sally Post blocks to alternate the Dixie Diary blocks.
Some embroidery I'm working on for the Colette Laurel top.
wow~! you're quick and it turned out really cute. love the zinger~!
ReplyDeletei haven't even managed to choose fabrics for this one yet . . . possibly too many irons in the fire.

Wow! Your 'Harmony' is just so sweet!! I haven't got that far yet, been busy with other sewing over the past couple of days!! I love your Dixie Diary blocks, and the inclusion of embroidered alternate blocks is wonderful!!!!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to have them all done, so I put but the appliqued stars/hearts on them, at the moment they look awfully bare!!! Nice to catch up with what you've been up to!!!
Love the embroidery!!And the applique of course!! How big ar those blocks?? They look ever so small!! happy sewing! hugs, Daniëlle
ReplyDeleteI love your Harmonious riot :0) I think I was smiling the whole time I was making mine - what a fun little project! Yours is marvelously scrappy!
ReplyDeleteHarmony is a little bit busy but I think that it sums up the past and the present (and the workings of my mind!). It is a fun little quilt that you will enjoy for many years.
ReplyDeleteLove how you have combined the Dixie Blocks with Sally Post. They look perfect together.
I love your Harmony quilt! Busy, yes, but it just sings!
ReplyDeleteAll of the Harmony blocks are busy! Taht's what makes them so fun. I love yours!!
ReplyDeleteI adore what you are doing with the Sally Post blocks too. That is going to be a stunning quilt!
